Q. What are Video Worked Solutions?
mTutor captures the voices and writings of experienced teachers explaining and working out solutions to questions or lessons. These are then converted into videos (hence the name Video Worked Solutions) and packaged into easy to use PC CD-ROMs.

Q. What is in the Model Answers and Video Worked Solutions CD-ROM?
The PSLE CD-ROM contains Model Answers and Video Worked Solutions to all the questions in the PSLE 5-year series Questions Booklet by SEAB (Singapore Examination and Assessment Board).

Beyond providing the final answers. The emphasis in on how the final answers are derived. You will be able to see and hear step-by-step how the answers are solved or derived. The knowledge and skills required are highlighted. Common errors are highlighted and teachers’ tips are also given by our experienced teachers.

Note that the CD-ROM DOES NOT contain the PSLE questions. You will need to purchase a copy of the question booklet separately to get the questions. There are several publishers of 'PSLE Examination Questions 2003 - 2007and it can be used with any authorised publisher.

  
Q. Where can I get the PSLE questions?
The PSLE (2003 – 2007) questions are released.  This year, SEAB has allowed several book printers to print the questions.  You can purchase the question booklets from major bookstore like Popular, Big Bookshop (Clementi, Tampines). 

PSLE Model Answers and Video Worked Solutions are now available in major bookstores. To order online Call 98187974.

Q. Do you provide model answers to all the questions in the PSLE question booklets?

In the PSLE (2001 – 2005) version, we have created model answers and video worked solutions for three subjects English, Maths and Science. The breakdown for the questions solved is as follows:

English: Language Use, Comprehension and Specimen Paper. (Total: 230 questions explained)

Maths:  Numbers, Measure and Mensuration, Rate, Speed and Average, Ratio, Proportion and Percentage, Algebra, Geometry and Specimen Paper. (Total: 234 questions explained)

Science: Life Science MCQ, Life Science OE, Physical Science MCQ, Physical Science OE and Specimen Paper. (Total: 163 questions explained)

The above should give you a good feel of the coverage of our CD-Rom.

Q. How is the voice quality from the CD?
Video Worked Solutions is a multimedia product. Our voice quality are crystal clear and we have processed the voice quality to be comparable with music CD.

  GETTING STARTED

Q. What is the minimum system requirement to run mTutor?
The minimum system configuration is as follow

Intel® Pentium® III processor or faster
Windows 2000/XP/Vista

Internet Explorer

Windows Media Player
128MB of RAM
5MB of available hard-disk space for installation
Video card with 1024 x 768 resolution.
CD-ROM drive
8-bit sound card or better

Q. How do I install mTutor?

Installation is easy. Just place the CD-ROM into your CD-Drive, wait for a few seconds and installations instruction will appear on the computer screen to guide you through the installation.

In the event that you encounter problem with installation, Please do the following. 

a. Close the error message prompt.
b. Reboot your system.
c. Start up Windows explorer. Double-click on your CD-ROM drive to view mTutor CD-ROM.
d. The installation will start automatically. Else, double-click the file setup.exe and follow the on screen instruction



USING mTutor

Q. How do I navigate in the mTutor program?
The mTutor program is created for the latest PSLE 5-year series.
Click on the desired topics, then the questions to view the Model Answers and Video Worked Solutions.

Q. How do I change from one subject to another?
a. Close the mTutor program.
b. Remove the existing CD-ROM and insert the new CD-ROM.
c. Start the mTutor program.
